The Project
EnviroSolution were appointed by Shepherd Group Properties to undertake Environmental Due Diligence Surveys at a number of brownfield sites throughout the UK as part of pre-acquisition works. Sites included a variety of historical land uses ranging from industrial land to former military airfields.
The Challenge
The client needed to understand potential environmental liabilities associated with ground conditions before acquisition decisions were made.
The Solution
For each site, EnviroSolution produced a Phase 1 Desk Study, developed a preliminary Conceptual Site Model and designed site-specific Phase 2 intrusive investigations. Trial pits, window sampling and boreholes were used depending on access and anticipated ground conditions. Method Statements, Health and Safety Risk Assessments and UXO survey input were also coordinated where required.
The Benefit
Work was completed within a four-week turnaround at each site, helping the client meet tight commercial deadlines while receiving clear recommendations on further work and remediation requirements where applicable.
